So you just bought a new device and you want it to stay new looking for as long as possible. With all of the new touch devices it is important to use an LCD screen protector to keep that clear touch screen from accumulating scratches or worse pits like a windshield. Devices that get a lot of use like an iPhone or iPod Touch especially need some extra protection on their LCD screens.
Long finger nails, the stylus, or even the occasional foreign object that get used to navigate the different menus can cause scratching if not used carefully. Most LCD screen protectors are made from clear vinyl plastic and adhere to the screen like saran wrap does to food. Many are reusable and all most are relatively cheap to purchase. Sometimes they can be difficult to install and care must be taken to get them positioned straight and right on top of the screen.
Fortunately at their cheap price if the first one doesn’t get installed to you liking, you can count that one as practice, remove it and hopefully do better with the next one. More expensive LCD screen protectors are more likely to fit your screen exactly and sometimes the cheaper ones have poor quality control and may be slightly larger than your screen and leave bubbles or worst a fold mark.
Look through all that are available and choose the best one for your device, it will be a good insurance policy to keep it looking good.
